At CuppaPug, our mission goes far beyond providing a joyful pug-filled experience for our visitors. We are dedicated to pug welfare, responsible rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. Our volunteers play a vital role in ensuring every pug in our care receives the love, structure, and attention they need to thrive.

Volunteering with CuppaPug is a serious commitment. While our pugs are adorable, this role is about responsibility, reliability, and genuine compassion for animal welfare.

What Our Volunteers Do

​

Our volunteer roles vary depending on need, but may include:

🐾 Pug Welfare Support

  • Feeding, monitoring, and caring for rescue pugs

  • Bathing, grooming assistance, and general health checks

  • Supporting our team with welfare routines

​

🐾 In-Café Support

  • Helping supervise pugs during visiting sessions

  • Ensuring their comfort and safety

  • Encouraging positive interactions between guests and pugs

  • Supporting adoption education with visitors

​

🐾 Pug Walks & Enrichment

  • Helping with structured walks

  • Providing enrichment, play, and gentle socialisation

  • Assisting with behaviour routines

​

🐾 Fostering Opportunities

For those with the right environment and experience, we offer fostering roles to support pugs awaiting adoption.

Who We’re Looking For

​

We welcome volunteers who are:

  • Committed to animal welfare, not just animal cuddles

  • Reliable with their time and able to follow guidance

  • Comfortable working around dogs with varying needs

  • Patient, calm, and compassionate

  • Interested in learning about pug behavior, rescue, and care

​

Previous experience with dogs or rescue animals is a bonus but not required.
